I’m not a big fan of Christmas. Actually, I hate Christmas. The overwhelming darkness of November and December even in Southern Finland where the Sun doesn’t rise until after 9 AM and sets already after at 3 PM really drains your energy. Working in the office, you practically don’t see any daylight during the weekdays.
Add to that the crowds of people running around shopping like crazy, making it difficult to just get your daily grocery shopping done. For some people, Christmas can also be a very lonely experience.
These pictures represent my feelings of the Christmas season. They were shot on Kodak Tri-X 400 pushed to 1600 with Minolta SRT-303 using a 50 mm f/1.7 lens.
