Even though I had shot a lot of film 20+ years ago, it had always been 35 mm film.
Since I could also develop 120 film with my Paterson tank, I bought a Holga in order to learn to work with medium format film. I also did some tests with my Kodak Brownie.
After learning about the medium, I wanted to have a decent camera for it. Enter YouTube and videos about Hasselblad. Heard the sound of the shutter. Must. Have. One.
Finally, I found a nice package of a Hasselblad body, Planar lens and some accessories for sale on a ebay-like local website. I bid on the item and won it.
I was a happy owner of a Hasselblad 500C from 1967. The lens needed to be serviced as the shutter did not work properly. I found a very competent camera technician who fixed the shutter.
I love this camera. I still have lot to learn about taking pictures with it and getting correct exposures but each frame that I shoot with it makes me happy and brings a smile to my face.
