It’s dark in Finland again. When you leave for work at 7 AM and it’s still dark. When you leave for home at 4 PM and it is already dark. So dark that it’s hard to have any ideas for photography.
If you want to take pictures in the dark, you need a tripod. I did not want to carry one. Instead I took my Holga loaded with Ilford Delta 400 and decided to look for random camera supports. There are surprisingly many spots around the city where you can rest the camera for a long exposure. Electric cabinets, bannisters etc.
These pictures are taken with the Holga in bulb exposure mode. The camera was supported by anything that I could find and I just estimated the exposure time. I’m pretty happy with the results. I even captured some ghost people. I think I wil try this again with colour film.
